Will we have a Band Banquet this year?
The WBBPA hosts an annual banquet to honor the graduating seniors and celebrate a successful band year.
The Hospitality committee organizes this event to which all band members, their family members and WBBPA members are invited to attend.
Where do I get one of those varsity jackets?
Many band students like to display their varsity letters and pins on a Western Branch High School Varsity Jacket. See Matt Brown at All About Sports, 4006 Victory Blvd, Ste A, Portsmouth, 465-3921.
How do I help chaperone?
Fill out a chaperone application and background check information. All chaperones must have a background check, this is a school regulation
Who takes care of uniforms, storage, cleaning etc?
The WBBPA funds the maintenance of the marching uniforms, which will be stored in the Band Room at all times.
Students must return uniforms to the rack and be checked off after each performance
When does the board meet?
The WBBPA Executive Board meets every 1st Tuesday of the month, usually in the WBHS Band Room.
When does the membership meet?
The WBBPA General Membership meets at 7:00 PM every 2nd Tuesday of the month in the WBHS Band Room.
What is the "pit"crew and how do I help them?
For those members who want to be closer to the action, the Pit Crew is a great opportunity!
The Pit Crew is responsible for quick movement of props and other band equipment such as the drum major stands and all of the items that are not easily carried onto the field. A Pit Crew member is needed to transport the equipment in a truck rented by the WBBPA for that purpose.

Ms. Cox provides calendars for all students each month; remind your student to pick one up and bring it home.
